Our new hydroponics center has created exciting new opportunities for student learning. Students delve into hands-on learning, cultivating crops without soil, and mastering sustainable farming techniques. With simple yet modern equipment and expert guidance, they explore the intersection of science, technology, and environmental stewardship, preparing for a greener future.

At the heart of Bell Middle School lies its courtyard, a tranquil space boasting an aquaponics pond and a variety of seating. Students are out in nature and surrounded by the school's iconic 1928 architecture. This serene space offers a 360-degree view, fostering reflection and connection all within the vibrant school community.

Bell Middle School's STEAM Center is a hub of innovation and creativity where students explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics in an immersive learning environment. Equipped with state-of-the-art resources and guided by dedicated educators, students engage in hands-on projects, sparking curiosity and preparing for the challenges of tomorrow.

In fifth grade, students’ journey as scientists begins with the Smithsonian Science program, advances through 6th-grade and 7th-grade science, and culminates in the rigorous 8th-grade Living Environment Regents course. Our classrooms support this journey with room for labs, exploration, and hands-on learning as students develop deep understandings of scientific concepts.
